Fires Unite

Elena was sent to look for a man of a particular height and build, who was said to have supernatural abilities.  She needed to do give a general summary of the man and whether or not she considered him dangerous.  Somehow, she ended up sitting right next to him at the bar.  Another woman, Ember Smith, happened to sit on the other side of him.

Jason Alexanders, while capable of producing fire from his hands and doing so to light cigarettes, did not appear overly dangerous during the time Elena spent intently examining him when she thought he was paying more attention to Ember, who, like Jason, only recently moved to the city.  She offered her investigative business card to Jason as she left, after stating she was a ballerina, telling him that if he had any special abilities and wanted a job to give her a call.  She also gave Ember a different card, so that if she wanted to come see the ballet Elena could arrange it.

Once Elena was out of the picture Ember and Jason had the time to get to better know each other, and that they both had a similar connection– that of fire.  Ember admitted to not being very experienced with her gift, and Jason thought it might be best to offer to teach her.  While Jason did ask Ember to dinner, she had received an urgent call and had to go, but perhaps the spark between them will encourage them to spend more time together in the near future…

World Traveler

A new arrival recently appeared on the scene, Lev Mikhailovic, and he’ll find himself needing to stay alert and remain vigilant, for jackal people are not common in this world.  It appears that he somehow crossed over from a separate world, or perhaps it is different dimension; it is unknown.  Either way, if the wrong people found him, he might find himself in a very precarious situation.

Tabloids Explode Over Unlikely Romance

It seems that someone must have tipped the tabloids off about model Eva Saoirse’s relationship with Detective James Temple.  Many are enamoured with the very mismatched pair– her life of high fashion and his police work, a dream of any man’s.

When attempting to interview the couple the only information they revealed was that there is more to the story than meets the eye, and how they met was actually quite sweet, but they declined to comment further.  Pictures of the two of them kissing, posed for the cameras, have made it across every entertainment rag in the city.

The Chase Continues…

The ancient vampire Chase returned, and this time he got a hold of Cheri.  He caught her off her guard and made instant eye contact, thralling her.  Once she was in thrall it was easy for him to drink from her.  He even went so far as to steal her voice.

Anya found the scene and began to attack Chase.  After a while, Chase grew bored of the fight and disappeared.

Ghouls and Chase

A man named Chase appeared who likes to drink vampire blood.  His exact species is unknown.  He has ghoul cronies that he sent after Cheri Noble.  When they attacked her one night, Chase got her teeth into her.  Eden came along and managed to get her out of the situation.

A week later, four ghouls returned to exact revenge on Eden for interrupting their work.  Cheri happened to be around, so she and Eden both went after them.  Eden managed to blind one while Cheri broke another’s wrist.  Eden stomped on one’s knee while the last had the muscles in his arm ripped out by Cheri.

Safe House Troubles

Anya was looking for a safe house meant for supernaturals that were on the run.  The address she was given, while correct once, was no longer.  The building was abandoned.  There was some sort of creature inside with creepy “pets”.  Anya and Cheri were chased through the building, and got fairly beat up.

They encountered what appeared to be the boss, an almost humanoid creature that was big, fat, and smelled atrocious.  This monstrosity decided it would make a meal out of Anya and Cheri.  Snide comments were exchanged, which angered it.  Luckily, Anya and Cheri managed to kill it before escaping.

Hembroke Chaos

Last evening there as an incident at Hembroke Grove apartment complex.  A street parked car was repeatedly hit with a sledgehammer and a Molotov cocktail thrown inside.  Four suspects went to the Emerald building and knocked out the back door security guard, hiding out in one of the apartments on the second floor.  Security reacted quickly, and gained some intel from Detective James Temple, who was already on the scene.

A fifth man was apprehended, put into place by off duty Detective Temple and taken by local police, to be later released after giving a statement.  The other four men were found and taken into custody.

Coffee Reconnection

James Temple hadn’t been in Toronto for too long.  Long enough to find work as a detective on Toronto’s police force, and to have an apartment with the barest of necessities.  The most important thing he had found was a good coffee shop.

Eva Saoirse might have been living in Toronto for some time, but she was often in the office of the high profile fashion designer she had worked for since leaving New York City.  When she walked into the coffee shop, she’d never imagined she’d run into James Temple, a police officer she’d known when she’d been a barista many years ago.

James and Eva left the coffee shop together, found a nice Thai place to eat at, and ended up heading towards the Hembroke Grove series of apartment complexes.

Hunters or?

Lithe blonde Leora Gunner was spotted outside of Lynn Security, and met up with a burly somewhat intimidating man Joe Warren.  The two spoke about the supernatural rising of the dead that happened a week or so ago, and considered how to exterminate the creature that rose again.  It was so early in the morning they could not get inside to look around, but assumed that the culprit (Dante Gregorium) was long since gone.  Joe offered to blow up the building, but Leora shook her head.  The two left together in his truck.
